Founding the Company in 1982, Alan quickly grew the company from making fudge in his university flat kitchen to the well run company it is today. As MD he deals with the everyday running and organising logistics of the events including all decisions on attending events.
Company Secretary: Pat Gilchrist
Pat has been there from the beginning, as share holder she really promotes the strong family feel of the company. Pat deals with the running of the company on the office side as well as on the events.
Manager: Nick Gilchrist
Nick has been involved in the company from a young age helping out during the Summer breaks from school. Now finished university he is a full time manager dealing with some office & marketing along with management of stands on events.
Manager: Max Gilchrist
Max like his brother Nick has been involved from a young age. Still at university he comes in during our peak summer season as a general manager of event units.
Manager: Ross Webb
Ross has been with the company since he was 16. Ross is a wonderful part of our team who's world revolves around his beautiful daughter. Now a manager he deals heavily in the preparation of events as well as the management of the event stands.
Manager: Andrea Ambroso
Andrea is Nick's fiancée and the newest appointment to our management team. She is always lovely, smiley and very helpful with customers. She deals with support in the office along with the stand management on events.
Gilchrist's Confectionery is built around a family run philosophy. Our team grows seasonally and at peak times can be as large as 60 people strong. Most of the seasonal staff we take on are students along with their friends/family. We strongly promote the family feel as we find it brings a much more natural friendly service.
